Person in crisis creates severe traffic issues for Portland drivers

A person in crisis remains standing near the edge of I-5 near the on ramp from I-405.

Portland Police and Portland Fire have been on the scene with the individual since 2:15 p.m.

Traffic was backed up for miles on I-5 north and south bound as police and ODOT worked to get stretches of two freeways closed as well as Harbor Drive.

Portland Police have activated their Crisis Negotiation Team and the SERT Rope Rescue Team has also responded.
